Chronicle Books is Constantly Creating—and Inspiring!

We are sure you’re going to want more inspiration after In/Visible Talks, so we’ve partnered with Chronicle Books to offer some fantastic items in our pop up shop. In addition to the best of the basic tools you need to create, from Case for Making you can pick up some stellar books on, art, design and creativity. The San Francisco–based independent publisher will also be hosting a book signing with In/Visible talks speaker Kelli Anderson. Get your extraordinary science-meets-art pop-up book, This Book Is a Planetarium, signed during lunch.
Chronicle Books prides itself on attention to detail, from how a cover feels to how design and content marry and enhance each other. They enjoy “sparking the passions of others” with their catalogue of books, games, journals, and other beautiful items you’ll want to give and receive.
As they run their business, the team there finds staying creative is the natural order of things. “The beauty of what we do is we are constantly creating new products and receiving finished products,” says Chronicle Books’ President Tyrrell Mahoney. Even when they go out into the marketplace to see how retailers are presenting and selling their products, they thrive on the ongoing creative process. “We’re constantly being met with results of our creative work and building on what we’ve done,” she says.
It’s easy to understand how Tyrrell saw a great opportunity to collaborate when Co-Founder Dava Guthmiller first shared her vision for the conference. “Dava is really passionate about continuing to learn,” Tyrrell says. “She saw a real need for bringing people together, to facilitate others’ passions, to inspire each other.”
We hope you’ll find items in the pop-up shop that will help you stay inspired long after January 11. And if you’re in the city before or after the conference, we hope you’ll show Chronicle Books some love by stopping by to browse and shop at one of their three storefronts.
