Now on Video from In/Visible Talks 2020: Jennifer Morla on “Making Ideas Seductive”

Design legend Jennifer Morla inspired us with her “Designisms”—observations from her stellar decades-long career.

An AIGA Medal. The Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum National Design Award. Work published in Megg’s History of Graphic Design. We had the privilege of meeting the woman behind the accolades at the sold-out In/Visible Talks 2020 conference when design legend Jennifer Morla stepped onto the main stage.

President & Creative Director of Morla Design, Jennifer shared with us some of her “Designisms”, thoughts she’s had and revelations she’s discovered over her 40+ years in design.

“Words are as important as images; images are as important as words.”

“Extremes work.”

“A poster will outlive a movement.”

“Everything out there is a designed object.”

To illustrate her points, she took us on a tour of images of her work, including seminal projects for the New York Times, Stanford, Levi Strauss, and PBS.
