Anjelika Temple is the Chief Creative Officer + Founding Partner at Brit + Co where she is responsible for the visual identity of the brand across the company. As Brit + Co’s first hire, Anjelika created the company’s distinct aesthetic and currently oversees the creative, editorial, and video teams to scale her vision.
Prior to Brit + Co, Anjelika worked in the creative department of Lowe/Deutsch and the art-meets-tech startup 20×200. She also spent one year as an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center and ten months traveling abroad to work on a series of commissioned works. Anjelika received her BA in Studio Arts and Philosophy from Middlebury College.
In a world driven by data, how can creatives thrive? More importantly, how can creative thinking, gut instinct, and the drive to create content "just because" survive? In a media ecosystem where data rules, it can be hard to articulate the "why" behind your instincts. In this session, Anjelika will share her approach on how to lead with your gut, and then find the data to back it up.

Marrying Data + Creativity: How to Make It Work
Co-founder of UnderConsideration a graphic design firm generating its own projects, initiatives, and content while taking on limited client work and the Brand New Conference, a two-day event focused on branding.

In this talk I will share what drives the madness, the challenges one faces when designing for designers—smart and demanding designers—and why we would not have it any other way.
